These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of TheThirstyLearner.com and attendance at classes booked through the site. By booking a class, purchasing a term, or otherwise using the website you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions

“You” / “Participant” — the person booking, paying for, or attending classes.

“Booking” — a confirmed reservation for a class or term made through our site.

“Term” — the set period of classes you buy (e.g., 6 weekly sessions).

“Fees” — amounts payable for classes/terms.

“Services” — information, classes, workshops and other offers provided via TheThirstyLearner.com.

3. Eligibility

Our classes are for adults (18+). By booking you confirm you are 18 or over.

You must provide accurate contact and payment information when booking.

4. Booking & Payment
-
Bookings are made via www.thethirstylearner.com. Payment is taken through our Tide business account linked to the website. We do not store card details.

A booking is confirmed only once full payment for the term has been received.

All Fees are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

5. Refunds, Cancellations & Transfers

Your cancellation: If you cancel more than 14 days before the first class of the term, you will receive a full refund minus a £10 administration fee (or a lower fee if stated at time of booking). If you cancel 14 days or less before the first class, no refund will be given, except at our discretion.

Transfers: If you wish to transfer to another term or class, notify us as soon as possible. Transfers are subject to availability and may incur an admin fee. Transfers requested within 14 days of the first class may not be possible.

Missed classes: Classes missed by you are non-refundable. Where possible we may offer a catch-up session but this is not guaranteed.

Our cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel a class or term (for example due to low enrolment or instructor illness). If we cancel a class, we will offer a full refund or a transfer to another term/session.

6. Illness, Health & Safety

You must tell us about medical conditions or injuries that could affect your ability to participate safely. We may request a doctor’s note in certain circumstances.

If you are unwell, do not attend in-person classes. We may ask you to refrain from attending if you have symptoms of contagious illness. Refunds for illness-related absences are dealt with under section 5.

7. Behaviour & Code of Conduct

Respectful behaviour is required at all times. We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone from a class for disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behaviour. No refund will be offered in such cases.

Alcohol or illegal substances are not permitted during classes. Smoking is not allowed inside venues.

8. Materials, Equipment & Personal Property

Where class materials (e.g., paints, paper) are included this will be stated in the class description. If materials are not included, you are responsible for bringing your own.

You are responsible for your personal belongings. We accept no liability for loss, theft or damage to personal items.

9. Photography & Marketing

We may take photographs or short videos during classes for promotional use. If you do not want to be photographed/filmed please let us know prior to the class. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid including you in promotional materials where requested.

10. Intellectual Property

Course content, handouts, images and the website content are owned by The Thirsty Learner or our licensors and are protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute or commercialise our materials without prior written permission.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. By booking you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, including the use of Google Analytics for site analytics. Payments are processed via Tide; card details are not stored on our site. See our full Privacy Policy for details and your rights:

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your attendance or use of the website is limited to the Fees you have paid for the relevant term or class.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delay or failure to perform any obligation caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, venue closure, pandemics, strikes). In such cases we will offer a transfer or refund at our discretion.

14. Complaints

If you have a complaint about a class or instructor, please contact us at [insert your contact email] as soon as possible. We will attempt to resolve complaints promptly and fairly.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may change these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified on the website with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued booking after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
